Forest Park House is a century-plus home in a tree-covered neighborhood that sits just outside the bustle of downtown Raleigh.
We are following in the footsteps of the amazing host, Cam, who created a beautiful and heartfelt guest experience. We are honored to continue the Forest Park House legacy.
Our family lived in Raleigh for 15 years before returning to our hometown of Asheville. We affectionately refer to the City of Oaks as “The Town that Built Us.” It is where we fell in love, graduated from NCSU in 2005, started our careers, graduated from Campbell Law School in 2013, and welcomed our son.
Raleigh has always stayed close to our hearts, and we found ourselves missing it even more than we expected. Forest Park House gives us a home base when we come back to visit, and it allows us to share our love of this city with guests who want a comfortable, intentional, and welcoming place to stay.
Our hope is to carry forward everything that made this home so loved. The thoughtful touches. The warm hospitality. The feeling that you are being hosted by people who genuinely care about your stay.
Forest Park House is certainly not a get-rich Airbnb project. It is a place that has been curated with care by designers, builders, housekeepers, and hosts and co-hosts who pour their hearts into every detail. We are grateful to continue that tradition.
The house is undeniably old in the best possible way (cheers for squeaky floors and awkwardly placed outlets) and has been thoughtfully updated to meet modern expectations.
We look forward to welcoming you, sharing the Raleigh we know and love, and making sure your time here is peaceful, comfortable, and memorable.
We think you will love it as much as we do. Come stay awhile. We will be so glad you did.
With gratitude,
Melanie, James, Liam, and our pugs Mojo and Mini
